It is with great sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my mother, Cheryl Fisher née Steel at the age of 70. She was born April 5 1954 in Victoria bc to Lois and Archie blessing them as their first born daughter. Followed by 2 sisters Denise (Kerry) Nobbs and Judy (Harry) Eburne and then her little brother Jim (Shelley) Steel.
Mom grew up spending most of her time on her beloved Grandmothers farm on Hoffman Ave where she got to spend her time with her passion of horses and other farm animals. Telling me stories of auctions and bringing home animals . Unfortunately mom suffered a traumatic brain injury at 10 years old from a horse riding accident. This altered my mom’s ability in a lot of aspects for the rest of her living years.
Mom and Dad (Rick Fisher) met in 1969 and married in 1970. (54 years was their anniversary the following week. ) I , jen (Wade) Nikkels, arrived the same year .
Mom really enjoyed life once her grandchildren arrived . (Ricky, Jordyn, Dylan and Rachel ) She adored her grandchildren and went above and beyond for them (including Ryan Edington) We will miss your ‘’whole heart’’ that you gave to the people you loved.
Mom you made Christmas’s magical for so many years to so many people. For years you started shopping in January for the upcoming Christmas. You loved it. It will never be the same without you.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
