Constance Eileen Richards

Born Nov 1, 1931

Mum made the peaceful journey to be with Dad and her saviour on December 7, 2021.  She was 90 years old and predeceased by her husband four years ago.  “Eileen” was born in Fawcett, Alberta – a very small farming town that no longer exists.  She met her loving husband Ken when she was 16 years old and they were married for 66 years.  She leaves behind three children:  Cheryl (Danny), Laurel (Dan), Lloyd (Dana); four grandchildren Simon (Vanessa), Ben (Rachel & Daisy), Jarrett (Riley) and Jess (Brian); and three great grandchildren (Natallie, Noah and Alita).

Mum loved writing poems, reading, tennis, badminton, music, counseling at Camp Qwanoes, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School and playing her violin at Central Baptist Church where she was a member for over 60 years.  She was a steadfast prayer warrior for her family and friends.  She was very proud of her career at Woodward’s as a sales rep for Clinique brand cosmetics.  She was a 4’11” firecracker – always correcting the family that she was 4’11.5”!  We would often find humour in the amount of salt she liked on her food, and her steadfast commitment to a perfect head of hair.  She fell in love with the family dachshund “Rangali” and would always look forward to their time together.  Mum spent her last few years watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune in the evenings – no phone calls were allowed during these shows!

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date
