On May 18, 2023 Della Ring passed away after a battle with cancer and pneumonia. She was 83 years old. Della was born in Olds, Alberta to Albert and Mildred Stelter and had one sister Connie Poor Eagle, recently deceased. Della lived most of her life in Calgary, Alberta and also called Canmore, Summerland and Victoria home.
Della had four children. Steve (Diane McCullough) Ring, Sheri (Curtis) Ross, Craig Hanson (predeceased in 2019) and Lori. She also had a favourite granddaughter, Brittany Ross (grandpup Oakley) and a favourite grandson Matt. Della loved her children and grandchildren very much and always enjoyed any opportunity for the family to be together. One of her favourite times of year was Christmas.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, Della will be missed by her nephew Joe (Dallas) Wiley of Cochrane and a number of extended family members and good friends.
Della was a lover of the written word and enjoyed the feel of the paper of a book or magazine in her hands. She worked many years in bookstores and as a technical book buyer which fed her desire for life-long learning. She was very creative and enjoyed a variety of hobbies and crafts, including gardening, flower arranging, jewellery making, sewing and embroidery.
Della had a strong faith in God and this faith carried her through many times of joy and difficulty. It was her wish that all people she loved and came in contact with would have a personal relationship with her Saviour.
We miss our mom every day and are thankful she is no longer in pain.

Beautifully written . We all are going to miss this wonderful lady . She loved her family and close friends . She cherished holidays and family get togethers; be it meals, playing cards and games or just visiting and enjoying times together . My heartfelt condolences to her family .
