Born June 17, 1943 in Lamont, Alberta
Passed away January 23, 2020 in Victoria, BC
Our beloved Edward passed away January 23, 2020 at the age of 76. Edward’s memory is cherished by his sons Stuart (Leah), Cameron (Tonya) and daughter Erin (Corey). Edward also leaves his six treasured grandchildren Mikaela, Hanne, Vienna, Juliet, Dakota and Keegan. He is also survived by his brothers Lowell (Marilyn) and Richard (Theresa), many nieces, and a very large group of friends (both two and four-legged). He was predeceased by his parents Sidney and Ottilia, three sisters Tillie, Elizabeth and Virginia and his brother Dale.
Edward was a very social and personable man who loved the outdoors. When not working he could often be found hiking, cycling and enjoying local parks and trails. Ed loved his sports, particularly the Edmonton Eskimos and the Montreal Canadiens. Edward worked in a variety of capacities with Apprenticeship and Industry Training for the Province of Alberta for close to 35 years. Edward will be greatly missed but will always be in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life is planned for February 22, 2020 at Victoria Alliance Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doctor’s Without Borders or to the ALS Society of BC.
