Born Manchester England 1931
Sadly, John passed away in Victoria B.C. December 20th 2023.
He is survived by Pat, his wife; his two sons Christopher and Tony; Ronald his brother (England); Nieces Cathy and Claire (England); cousins both in Canada and England.
John is finally at peace. He will be greatly missed. John served in the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm for the usual two years. His business world was in finance from chartered banking to crown corporation to B.C Ministry of Finance. He was a keen sportsman -cricket, rugby, sailing, hiking, but his greatest love was golf. For quieter times oil painting and writing. He did so enjoy reading especially naval history; musically his tastes were from the classics to jazz- he was rather fond of sea shanties.
“He took the path less traveled” – cheerfully followed by his little family –and the dog. He had a great sense of humor. We will miss him dearly.
Our heartfelt thanks go to all the management and staff at Mount St. Mary’s for taking such great care of John especially the St Luke’s ward team.
We thank Pacific Coast Cremation for all your kindness and help at this most difficult of times.
