I did not expect to find an obituary when I searched for Les on the internet.
What a shock. I met Les in Edmonton. In those days he was a waiter in a Greek restaurant. It was a job he obviously enjoyed. ( Maybe a little too much sometimes.) In the late ‘80s I moved back to my home town and lost touch with Les.
About 20 years ago Les reconnected with me here in Victoria when he was working at Thriftys. We golfed a couple of times, and he asked me to be a pole bearer when his father passed on, but for some unknown reason we lost touch again. ( Probably because I was working a 4 and 2 rotation in the NWT in those days.)
I tried to make contact with him when his friend Rose died of cancer in 2019 not realizing he was no longer with us.
It’s sad to learn he is longer here.
My belated condolences to his family.
