July 3, 1950- January 24, 2023
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Linda Faye Schur on Tuesday January, 24, 2023.
At 72 years young she passed away peacefully in Victoria Hospice while surrounded by family and friends after a brave 5-year battle with cancer.
Mom will be joining her spouse, Robert (Bob) Reid; her parents, T. Walter and Rita Lees; her brothers, Douglas Lees and Daniel Lees; and brother-in-law, Kenny Hicks.
Linda was born on July 3, 1950 in Imperial, SK as the younger twin to Robert (Bob) and to parents T. Walter and Rita Lees. She was the fifth of six children.
In her teen years the Lees family relocated to Victoria, BC where she laid her roots but always remained a prairie girl at heart.
Linda is survived by her children: Dawn, Michael (Eva) and Joel (Heather); her stepchildren: Ceri (Michael), Sarah (Wayne) and Kimberley (Gavin); her grandchildren: Logan, Elaina, Owen, Spencer and Mae; her big sister Carol; her twin brother Robert (Bob) (Fiona); her younger brother Jack (Martina); her many Granimals and the countless others that considered her a second mother.
Linda had an impact in so many people’s lives and was always available to share a conversation over a coffee. She was a joyful presence and shared her warmth and kindness with everyone she met. Linda had an infectious positivity, loved unconditionally and was truly one of a kind.
Gratitude was her motto and family was her everything.
We will miss her terribly.
Service to be announced at a later date.
