In loving memory
February 11, 1962-July 12, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lynne on July 12, 2021 at the age of 59.
Lynne was born in Montreal on February 11, 1962, but spent most of her life in Victoria. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Social Work, and later went on to complete her Master of Education, all from the University of Victoria. Lynne had a very giving and thoughtful nature, and spent many hours volunteering for a wide variety of organizations throughout Victoria. Lynne was predeceased by her father, Bruce (1991); and her aunt, Doreen Stewart (James); she is lovingly remembered by her mother, Gayle; and sisters, Dina Ridenour (Steve), Shannon Giesbrecht (Philip); nieces, Natasha, Christine, Desirae and Tayah; uncle, Victor Wakely (Teresa) from Ontario; aunt, Daphne Wilson; and beloved dog, Button.
A special thank you to the ER and ICU staff at VGH for their very thoughtful care during this trying time.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 24, 2021 1 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 701 Mann Ave, Victoria, B.C.
