June, 1942 – April 6, 2019
We mourn a dear, gentle soul with an amazing spirit who battled Alzheimer’s but could not overcome complications related to the disease; she peacefully left this world early Saturday morning. She is survived by her husband Dwayne of 47 years, her children Allan (Kerrie), Michele (Dale), Deborah, Denise (Craig), grandchildren Tyler, Ryan, Genesis, Alex, Shae, Natalie, and great-grandchildren Zack, Jordan, Rhys, and Michaela.
Our family wishes to thank the physicians, nurses and staff at Saanich Peninsula Hospital, Dr. Malone, the super team at Peninsula Community Health Services, and the caregivers from Beacon Community Services. Special thanks go to Dr. Geoffrey Luckhurst who has been our family physician – and friend – for 25 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 13, at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s United Church in Sidney at 2410 Malaview Ave with Rev. Suzanna Bates presiding.

I am so sorry to hear of Rosanne’s passing my love to the family.
I am so sorry for the loss of Roseanne, your beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and great grandmother. She was so loving and deeply cared for her family, and friends. Roseanne was devoted to helping others and wanted to be of service. Roseanne was also very funny, and those of us lucky enough to experience her humour will forever remember the laughter we shared. Roseanne will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Doug. Vivian and I want to express our deepest sympathy for your loss. Frank
We’ve known Rosenne since she was 16 years when she came home with our friend, our brother Bill. We girls as young people had many many happy days together in our youth. We are sorry to hear of her passing. We are praying for the family.
I’m so, so sorry to hear the incredibly sad news about Roseanne’s passing. I want you to know that all of the family are in my thoughts and in my heart during this terrible and difficult time. When my Mom told me and Warren, it was truly hard to imagine that she was gone. Please know that if there is anything we can do to help you, we are here. I keep safe all of the memories I have of Roseanne when we were growing up, and all of the happy times our families spent together in Edmonton, and out here on the coast. Roseanne was a beautiful, funny and vibrant woman and I will miss her.
With love and deepest sympathy,
Trisha Chestnutt
