Susan Catherine Wallach

In Memorial

December 27, 1949 – October 16, 2018

Susan passed away leaving behind her husband, David of 21 years; also her sisters, Maureen (Raoul), Florence (Don) and Heather.

Susan worked at the Victoria School District for 28 years, the latter part at the maintenance shop looking after the payroll. And God help anyone who was late with their time sheet.

There will be no service by request.

Condolence Messages

  1. Dear Dave, Tom and I are so sorry for your lost. We too will miss her but she will be with us always. I will have a glass of her favorite wine and toast her.

  2. I am so sorry to hear this news. Susan will be fondly remembered.

  3. David & Family,
So very sorry for your loss. Susan was definitely “One of a kind” and no matter what is said about the time sheet issue Susan was very kind. I know all too well how Susan could give a hard time to those who didn’t comply, I was sometimes one of them, but also very fortunate to receiver her guidance on all things to do with purchasing and keeping track of the books.
Susan was kind enough to help me through the beginning of my career at the maintenance department at SD61, sometimes with a poke and a prod to do things her way, and on time, but most times with a cheeky grin to go along with it.
My thoughts are with you David, take care.

    Dave,

Garry and I were very shocked and saddened to hear the news. Many, many days Garry, Randy, Grant, myself and Susan spent laughing and commiserating on the “dock”. Every day at 10am and 2:30pm for 10+ years. She was missed when she retired and the loss is being felt on a deeper level today. A sadness was definitely felt today at “coffee”.

    Condolences to you Dave.

  5. I am so shocked to read that Susan has passed away! I worked with her for many years and I know how much she looked forward to her retirement. So sad that she didn’t have many years to enjoy her retirement with you Dave. Condolences to you Dave and both of your families from Brian and myself. RIP Susan.

  6. Dave and family; . I have lots of happy memories working with Susan at the maintenance shop. I was one of many who suffered her wrath for timecards and invoices improperly submitted. It was a pleasure to have worked with and known such a great person. Please accept my condolences on your loss at this time.

  11. Condolences to Dave and thank you to him, my mother and my aunts. Susan was my aunt and lived with us for a period of time in Terrace, B.C. She worked at the Royal Bank there before transferring to Victoria where she established herself and lived in the area for the rest of her time. She passed away at too young an age and will be missed by us all. R.I.P. Also thank you to Len for your condolences.
