Anne was born June 23, 1951 and grew up on the west coast of Vancouver Island in Pachena Bay and Bamfield and then Port Alberni. She was mainly a mother and grandmother but she did many other things in the course of her life. She was a carhop, a beer slinger, a short order cook and server, a hairdresser and barber, a retail sales clerk , a crocheter and a scrapbooker. Her mother was indigenous and Anne was a citizen and elder of Huu-ay-aht First Nations and took a keen interest in band matters. Continue reading
