FERGUSON, Theresa
April 27, 1920 to November 17, 2020

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa (Terry) Ann Ferguson. She died peacefully at home with family at her side. She was predeceased in 2014 by her husband Robert (Bob), the love of her life, to whom she had been married for over 73 years.

Theresa will be dearly missed by her family: daughters Donna Mae (and husband Mike) and Roberta; son Jim (and wife Donna); grandchildren Theresa, Corrinna, Bill (and Sandie), Bob (and Caroline), Laureena (and Marc), and Deanna (and Jamie); great-grandchildren Trey (and mother Darlene), Braden, Kayla, Peyton, Jayda, and Madeline.

Theresa celebrated a milestone earlier this year- her 100th Birthday! She outlived her two sisters and four brothers plus Bob’s eight siblings, and is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Terry worked at The Bay in the shoe department for over 25 years.

Theresa loved to cook and bake. She and Bob prepared and hosted the family Christmas dinners until she was in her 90’s. This will be our first year without her traditional shortbread and Christmas pudding with rum sauce.

Terry enjoyed walking, right up until her last two weeks. She also liked chatting with anyone anywhere.

To her “extended family” Trevor and Marian Le Feuvre; Kelsey, James, Henry and Rosalie King; and Alicia, Brandon and Sawyer Duch; thanks for all of your support, care and love.

The family also wishes to extend our thanks to Diane Twa and all of the VIHA Home and Community Care Team of Nursing and Community Health Workers who were involved in providing home care.

As well, to the Victoria Hospice Palliative Care Home Response Team, we offer our heartfelt gratitude for your excellent care and compassion. You are truly a special group!

Finally, we give our very special thanks to Terry’s “Angel”- Dr. Leah Norgrove. You always treated our Mum with compassion and respect. You are the most caring Doctor one could ever wish for and words cannot express our appreciation.
