Dear Friends,
When Bea Marshall told me yeasterday that she had read that Tristan had died this year, I was devastated but nothing compared to how all of you must be feeling.
The teachers of Cilaire get together for tea regularly and all those I have spoken to who knew Tristan feel equally sad.
I’m retired and have bumped into Tristan both at Tony Jeff’s wedding and at his funeral and have been so impressed with his strength of character and his love of friends.
I’ve been writing childrens’ books and the last one called Tristan’s Trip was dedicated to him. I had wanted to e-mail him a copy before I heard the sad news.
Please know how much we all valued Tristan and how much his loss means to us.
